Road Trip, Day 31: We have one more day left of this road trip, and, honestly, we’re just in GET HOME mode now. I don’t care about looking on Yelp for new food, I don’t care about another historical district - I just want to see Long Beach and our apartment and our families again. I know once I’ve eaten some real Mexican food and seen my closet, though, I’m going to miss the open road ahead of us and the freedom that I won’t taste again until winter break. But right now all I want is our bed and the cool beach air. I am so happy we went on this trip and were able to see the country (or a big part of it, at least), but it has really made both of us realize that we love where we live and the people who live there with us. Long Beach is home, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Road Trip, Day 29: Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico. It was like Disneyland, but not fake!

Road Trip, Day 28: Sonic Drive-Ins have become our beacons of hope in the middle of 8 hour driving days. There is nothing that a medium lemonberry real-fruit slush can’t make better.
